How do I create my first event?

Creating an event takes less than a minute:

  1. Sign up for a free account (no credit card required)
  2. Click "Create Event" from your dashboard
  3. Fill in your event details (name, date, description)
  4. Choose your plan or start with our free option
  5. Your unique QR code is generated automatically—ready to share!

How do I share my event with guests?

Multiple ways to make it easy for everyone:

  • Display the QR code at your event venue (print it large!)
  • Print QR codes for table cards, invitations, or programs
  • Share the direct link via text, email, or social media
  • Include in digital invitations as a clickable link or QR code

Can I customize my event page?

Yes! You can add a custom welcome message, event description, and upload instructions for your guests. We keep it simple so your guests focus on sharing, not configuring.

How do I download all the photos?

From your event dashboard, click "Download All" to get a ZIP file with all photos and videos organized by upload date. Full quality, ready to keep forever.

How do guests upload photos?

It's incredibly simple (by design):

  1. Scan the QR code with their phone camera (or click the shared link)
  2. Opens instantly in their web browser—no app download!
  3. Tap "Upload Photos" and select photos/videos from their device
  4. Watch them upload in real-time—done!

No account creation. No passwords. No friction. Just memories.

Do guests need to download an app?

Absolutely not! MomentCollect works entirely in the web browser. Scan the code, start uploading. That's it. Works on iPhone, Android, tablets—anything with a camera.

What file types and sizes are supported?

We support all common formats:

  • Photos: JPEG, PNG, HEIC (up to 20MB each)
  • Videos: MP4, MOV (up to 100MB each)
  • Batch uploads: Select multiple files at once
  • Auto-compression: Files over 10MB are optimized for faster upload

Can guests see each other's photos?

Yes! Guests can view the live gallery to see all uploaded photos in real-time. It's part of the fun—watching the event come to life from everyone's perspective.

Technical Support

The QR code isn't working. What should I do?

Quick troubleshooting steps:

  • Ensure the QR code image is clear and not blurry when printed
  • Try scanning from 6-12 inches away (not too close!)
  • Check that camera has permission to scan QR codes
  • Use the direct link as a backup—it always works

Photos are uploading slowly. How can I fix this?

Upload speed depends on connection quality. To speed things up:

  • Use WiFi when available (much faster than cellular)
  • Upload smaller batches (5-10 photos at a time)
  • Check signal strength—move closer to WiFi router
  • Compress large files before uploading (our system does this automatically for files over 10MB)

Is MomentCollect secure?

Absolutely. We use bank-level HTTPS encryption, secure cloud storage with AWS, and regular security audits. Your photos are private and only accessible to you and your event guests. We never sell your data. Period.

What happens to my photos after the event?

Your photos stay accessible during your hosting period (6 months for Small/Medium plans, 12 months for Large plans). You'll receive reminders to download before expiration. After 30 days past expiration, files are automatically deleted to protect your privacy.

How does payment work?

Simple: one-time payment, no subscriptions. Pay once for your plan, use it for your event. No recurring charges, no auto-renewals, no surprises.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) and Open Banking via Stripe. All payments are secure and processed with industry-standard encryption.

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Yes! Contact our support team and we'll help you upgrade. You'll only pay the difference between plans. Easy.

Do you offer refunds?

If you're not satisfied within the first 7 days, we'll give you a full refund—no questions asked. After that, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.
